Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Beverage, Chemicals and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which rose 6.00% or 40 points to trade at 707 at the close. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) added 3.60% or 1.59 points to end at 45.79 and Sothema (CS:SOT) was up 2.94% or 50 points to 1750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 5.05% or 79 points to trade at 1485 in late trade. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) declined 5.00% or 150 points to end at 2850 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) shed 4.38% or 12.40 points to 270.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 29 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.31% or 0.22 to $71.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.26% or 0.20 to hit $78.63 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1291.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 11.1310, while USD/MAD rose 0.30% to 9.4403.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.20.
