Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Beverage, Food Producers & Processors and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which rose 8.27% or 31.00 points to trade at 406.00 at the close. S2M (CS:S2M) added 5.95% or 16.00 points to end at 285.00 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was up 5.58% or 82 points to 1552 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which lost 5.99% or 11.30 points to trade at 177.20 in late trade. Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU) declined 5.93% or 80 points to end at 1270 and SMI (CS:SMI) shed 5.59% or 193 points to 3257.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 21 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.31% or 0.18 to $57.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.05 to hit $63.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 10.76 to trade at $1286.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 11.0390, while USD/MAD fell 0.08% to 9.5210.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.74.
