Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Beverage, Chemicals and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 7.20% or 3.66 points to trade at 54.50 at the close. Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) added 2.84% or 9.10 points to end at 330.00 and Hps (CS:HPS) was up 2.11% or 30.00 points to 1450.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which lost 9.97% or 14.45 points to trade at 130.55 in late trade. Involys (CS:INV) declined 7.55% or 11.85 points to end at 145.15 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) shed 5.98% or 11.05 points to 173.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 13 and 2 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.57% or 0.27 to $47.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $51.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.64 to trade at $1291.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.53% to 11.1390, while USD/MAD fell 0.15% to 9.4635.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 93.39.
