Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 5.31% or 33 points to trade at 649 at the close. Alliances (CS:ADI) added 3.23% or 5 points to end at 160 and Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CS:IAM) was up 2.27% or 3.50 points to 157.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1), which lost 5.97% or 197 points to trade at 3103 in late trade. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.69% or 38 points to end at 630 and Lydec (CS:LYD) shed 3.87% or 24.00 points to 596.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.91% or 0.62 to $68.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.59% or 1.17 to hit $74.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.30 to trade at $1317.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.10% to 11.2370, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.2838.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 91.54.
