Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Distributors and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 6.59% or 38.00 points to trade at 615.00 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 4.73% or 6.05 points to end at 133.85 and SMI (CS:SMI) was up 3.49% or 108 points to 3200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which lost 5.50% or 3.00 points to trade at 51.50 in late trade. Colorado (CS:COL) declined 2.68% or 1.90 points to end at 69.10 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) shed 1.96% or 30 points to 1500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.56% or 1.24 to $47.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.65% or 0.87 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1293.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.30% to 11.1200, while USD/MAD fell 0.31% to 9.4183.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.14.
