Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Beverage and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 8.16% or 9.95 points to trade at 131.85 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 6.00% or 96 points to end at 1697 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was up 4.20% or 185 points to 4585 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CDM (CS:CDM), which lost 5.83% or 28 points to trade at 452 in late trade. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) declined 4.86% or 7.25 points to end at 142.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) shed 4.05% or 4.50 points to 106.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.50% or 0.25 to $49.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $52.24 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 13.39 to trade at $1275.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.46% to 10.7940, while USD/MAD fell 0.62% to 9.9576.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 99.05.
