Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Oil & Gas and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.18% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 5.48% or 7.45 points to trade at 143.45 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 4.68% or 8.10 points to end at 181.10 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 4.23% or 63 points to 1552 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which lost 3.75% or 0.90 points to trade at 23.10 in late trade. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) declined 2.96% or 65 points to end at 2130 and Managem (CS:MNG) shed 2.33% or 41 points to 1715.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 28 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.76% or 1.27 to $47.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.73% or 1.89 to hit $52.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 8.42 to trade at $1322.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.02% to 11.1390, while USD/MAD rose 0.04% to 9.3790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 92.80.
