Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms Services and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 1.95% or 0.730 points to trade at 38.160 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 1.86% or 0.310 points to end at 17.000 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) was up 1.73% or 3.300 points to 194.530 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which lost 2.85% or 1.04 points to trade at 35.50 in late trade. Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) declined 2.27% or 0.47 points to end at 20.19 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) shed 1.79% or 0.420 points to 23.090.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 68 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.00% or 0.05 to $1267.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.61% or 0.31 to hit $50.94 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.90% or 0.46 to trade at $51.84 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.12% to 18.5938, while EUR/MXN fell 0.57% to 20.2365.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 98.62.
