Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1), which rose 3.55% or 2.400 points to trade at 70.000 at the close. Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) added 2.96% or 0.85 points to end at 29.60 and Coca Cola Femsa SAB De CV (MX:KOFL) was up 1.68% or 2.27 points to 137.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB), which lost 1.68% or 1.110 points to trade at 64.990 in late trade. VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) declined 1.36% or 0.22 points to end at 15.96 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) shed 0.93% or 1.82 points to 194.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 64 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.54% or 7.30 to $1348.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.35% or 0.83 to hit $62.38 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $65.58 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.00% to 18.5322, while EUR/MXN fell 0.01% to 22.9956.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 89.08.
