(Reuters) -Italian engineering group Maire Tecnimont confirmed on Wednesday its 2023 outlook after revenue came in at 957.9 million euros ($1.06 billion) in the first three months of the year, up 31.5% on the year.
The 2023 outlook sees revenue at between 3.8 million euros and 4.2 million euros, and a core earnings margin of around 6%-7%.
Maire Tecnimont reported core earnings of 58.0 million euros, up 32.7% yearly, and double-digit revenue growth in both of its business units - integrated engineering and construction and sustainable technology solutions.
It said the engineering and construction business saw total revenue of 901.4 million euros, up 30.8% from last year.
The sustainable technology business recorded revenue of 56.5 million euros in the same period thanks to the shift to cleaner energy, technology agreements and the contribution of the newly acquired company Conser, the company said.
First-quarter order intake was 302.9 million euros, of which 78.4 million come from the sustainable technology unit.
"The first-quarter results approved today confirm the validity of our business model", Chief Executive Officer Alessandro Bernini said in a statement.
