Electric automaker, Lucid (NASDAQ:LCID) announced Monday that, starting in 2025, the company will integrate Tesla’s (TSLA) North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors into their electric vehicles.

All lucid vehicles built with the current Combined Charging System (CCS) will be able to charge at stations in the Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Supercharger network by using an adapter.

Lucid is the latest of several automakers choosing to adopt the Tesla Standard. Ford (NYSE:F) was the earliest, making the choice back in May, followed closely by fellow Detroit automaker General Motors (NYSE:GM).

However, once the floodgates opened, many more automakers followed. The list of car companies committed to the change include, but are not limited to, Toyota (NYSE:TM), Honda (NYSE:HMC), Rivian (NASDAQ:RIVN), BMW (ETR:BMWG), Hyundai (OTC:HYMTF), Mercedes-Benz (OTC:MBGAF), and Fisker (FSR).

"Adopting NACS is an important next step to providing our customers with expanded access to reliable and convenient charging solutions for their Lucid vehicles," said CEO, Peter Rawlinson.

"We believe that a unified charging standard, backed by the nationwide rollout of future-ready higher-voltage charging stations, will be a critical step in empowering American consumers to adopt electric vehicles."

Shares of LCID ended trading Monday down 6.49%
