Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.13% or 0.0027 points to trade at 0.2419 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 0.95% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.9530 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.38% or 0.0500 points to 13.1400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.26% or 0.0300 points to trade at 2.3540 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 0.91% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.8690 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.88% or 0.1500 points to 16.9000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.64% or 0.77 to $47.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.78% or 0.79 to hit $45.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.76 to trade at $1215.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1447, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 95.59.
