Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 1.46% or 180 points to trade at 12550 at the close. International (TA:FTIN) added 0.45% or 21 points to end at 4656 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) was up 0.18% or 7 points to 3880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which lost 2.71% or 900 points to trade at 32300 in late trade. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 2.49% or 460 points to end at 18000 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) shed 0.71% or 9 points to 1264.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 201 to 143 and 107 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.78% or 0.29 to $36.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.89% or 0.35 to hit $39.76 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.70 to trade at $1073.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.05% to 3.8639, while EUR/ILS fell 0.77% to 4.2294.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 97.83.
