Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Consumer Industry and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM), which rose 25.00% or 575 points to trade at 2875 at the close. Tanah Laut Tbk (JK:INDX) added 15.67% or 21 points to end at 155 and Timah Persero Tbk (JK:TINS) was up 14.17% or 90 points to 725 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sekar Bumi Tbk (JK:SKBM), which lost 10.00% or 85 points to trade at 765 in late trade. Lionmesh Prima Tbk (JK:LMSH) declined 9.68% or 60 points to end at 560 and Pudjiadi Prestige Tbk (JK:PUDP) shed 9.49% or 43 points to 410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 171 to 115 and 103 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.61% or 0.23 to $37.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.32% or 0.13 to hit $40.71 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.93% or 11.80 to trade at $1275.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.94% to 13178.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.58% to 9665.20.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.08.
