Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.71% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 3.18% or 0.420 points to trade at 13.610 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 0.56% or 0.12 points to end at 21.51 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 0.16% or 0.01 points to 6.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mediaset (MI:MS), which lost 3.96% or 0.144 points to trade at 3.488 in late trade. Atlantia (MI:ATL) declined 3.79% or 0.91 points to end at 23.09 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 3.40% or 0.53 points to 15.08.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 282 to 81 and 6 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.55% or 0.29 to $52.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.92% or 0.51 to hit $54.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1291.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.0700, while EUR/GBP fell 1.02% to 0.8383.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 99.69.
