Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 1.51% or 0.0115 points to trade at 0.7710 at the close. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) added 1.14% or 0.1400 points to end at 12.4400 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was up 0.92% or 0.130 points to 14.270 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tenaris (MI:TENR), which lost 3.70% or 0.60 points to trade at 15.61 in late trade. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 3.05% or 0.70 points to end at 22.27 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) shed 3.04% or 0.73 points to 23.28.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 204 to 130 and 15 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.32% or 0.71 to $54.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.15% or 0.64 to hit $56.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 16.75 to trade at $1250.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.0582, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 100.98.
