Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which rose 1.87% or 0.35 points to trade at 19.05 at the close. Mediaset (MI:MS) added 1.35% or 0.050 points to end at 3.752 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was up 1.13% or 0.048 points to 4.312 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which lost 50.63% or 5.67 points to trade at 5.53 in late trade. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 3.38% or 0.77 points to end at 22.03 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) shed 2.49% or 0.130 points to 5.090.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 191 to 167 and 15 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.76% or 0.35 to $45.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.92% or 0.45 to hit $48.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.77 to trade at $1227.67 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.0926, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8449.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 99.01.
