Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 2.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were ERG (BIT:ERG), which rose 2.17% or 0.52 points to trade at 24.52 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) added 2.03% or 0.15 points to end at 7.73 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) was up 1.87% or 1.02 points to 55.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which lost 13.75% or 5.09 points to trade at 31.94 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 8.69% or 1.59 points to end at 16.67 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) shed 7.61% or 0.77 points to 9.29.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 379 to 135 and 41 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.75% or 0.58 to $78.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.27 to hit $81.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.41% or 58.10 to trade at $2,357.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 104.03.
