Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 2.83% or 0.40 points to trade at 14.54 at the close. Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) added 1.70% or 0.34 points to end at 20.36 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was up 1.52% or 0.21 points to 13.89 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII), which lost 4.65% or 0.24 points to trade at 4.82 in late trade. Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) declined 4.39% or 0.27 points to end at 5.79 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) shed 3.53% or 0.18 points to 5.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 316 to 198 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.12% or 2.81 to $70.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.82% or 2.74 to hit $74.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 26.85 to trade at $2,686.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 100.98.
