Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 0.84% or 0.021 points to trade at 2.533 at the close. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 0.40% or 0.007 points to end at 1.900 and Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) was up 0.14% or 0.010 points to 7.180 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Recordati (MI:RECI), which lost 12.45% or 4.24 points to trade at 29.82 in late trade. Mediaset (MI:MS) declined 3.65% or 0.100 points to end at 2.640 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) shed 2.07% or 0.24 points to 11.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 237 to 107 and 37 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.01% or 0.01 to $74.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.83% or 1.45 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 10.10 to trade at $1244.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.1610, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 94.77.
