Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italgas SpA (BIT:IG), which rose 1.41% or 0.08 points to trade at 5.41 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) added 1.36% or 0.11 points to end at 8.02 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was up 1.08% or 0.04 points to 3.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which lost 6.41% or 0.61 points to trade at 8.85 in late trade. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) declined 5.92% or 0.02 points to end at 0.24 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) shed 5.19% or 4.55 points to 83.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 330 to 152 and 42 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.25% or 0.18 to $70.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.55% or 0.41 to hit $74.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 31.30 to trade at $2,645.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 100.46.
