Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which rose 2.01% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 0.67% or 0.08 points to end at 11.98 and Terna (MI:TRN) was up 0.49% or 0.024 points to 4.968 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which lost 2.24% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.806 in late trade. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.14% or 0.0880 points to end at 4.0180 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) shed 2.06% or 0.3700 points to 17.6300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 254 to 114 and 12 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.81% or 0.40 to $49.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.49 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 11.45 to trade at $1290.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1755, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.9056.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 93.37.
