Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS), which rose 3.43% or 3.20 points to trade at 96.48 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 2.33% or 0.85 points to end at 37.07 and Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) was up 2.21% or 0.01 points to 0.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which lost 3.76% or 0.40 points to trade at 10.23 in late trade. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) declined 2.54% or 0.13 points to end at 4.87 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) shed 2.29% or 0.43 points to 18.21.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 268 to 188 and 59 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.32% or 0.27 to $83.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.08% or 0.07 to hit $86.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 6.70 to trade at $2,332.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.53.
