Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.56% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which rose 8.69% or 0.38 points to trade at 4.72 at the close. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) added 2.48% or 0.13 points to end at 5.28 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) was up 2.05% or 0.17 points to 8.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII), which lost 1.77% or 0.08 points to trade at 4.67 in late trade. Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC) declined 1.70% or 0.09 points to end at 5.21 and UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI) shed 1.61% or 0.54 points to 32.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 302 to 201 and 38 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.03% or 0.75 to $73.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.85% or 0.65 to hit $76.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 15.95 to trade at $2,428.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.81.
