Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 1.41% or 0.31 points to trade at 22.24 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 1.09% or 0.34 points to end at 31.04 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was up 0.98% or 0.14 points to 14.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which lost 3.33% or 0.54 points to trade at 15.63 in late trade. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 2.86% or 0.25 points to end at 8.50 and Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) shed 2.11% or 0.12 points to 5.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 254 to 219 and 49 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.68% or 1.30 to $75.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.53% or 1.23 to hit $79.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 5.75 to trade at $2,422.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 104.38.
