Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 2.07% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.25 at the close. Hera (BIT:HRA) added 1.94% or 0.07 points to end at 3.67 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was up 1.79% or 0.21 points to 11.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which lost 3.17% or 0.82 points to trade at 25.01 in late trade. Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) declined 2.72% or 0.39 points to end at 13.96 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) shed 2.58% or 2.45 points to 92.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 254 to 236 and 57 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 5.07% or 3.74 to $70.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.87% or 3.77 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 17.15 to trade at $2,682.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.97.
