Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 3.85% or 0.550 points to trade at 14.850 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 1.61% or 0.18 points to end at 11.36 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was up 1.29% or 0.190 points to 14.940 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which lost 2.29% or 0.074 points to trade at 3.156 in late trade. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) declined 2.21% or 1.20 points to end at 53.10 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) shed 1.72% or 0.47 points to 26.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 129 and 13 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.19% or 0.09 to $47.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.70% or 0.37 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 8.32 to trade at $1338.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1915, while EUR/GBP rose 0.56% to 0.9216.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 92.49.
