Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 6.92% or 0.740 points to trade at 11.440 at the close. Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 0.76% or 0.055 points to end at 7.255 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was up 0.74% or 0.20 points to 27.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which lost 1.87% or 0.092 points to trade at 4.824 in late trade. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 1.83% or 0.0600 points to end at 3.2200 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) shed 1.58% or 0.38 points to 23.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 208 to 138 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.77% or 0.86 to $47.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.80% or 0.95 to hit $51.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.41 to trade at $1295.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.9154.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 93.03.
