Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediaset (MI:MS), which rose 1.92% or 0.060 points to trade at 3.188 at the close. Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 1.87% or 0.42 points to end at 22.92 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 1.65% or 0.0125 points to 0.7710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 2.18% or 0.098 points to trade at 4.394 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 1.37% or 0.042 points to end at 3.034 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) shed 1.00% or 0.55 points to 54.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 193 to 167 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.74% or 0.88 to $51.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.76% or 0.99 to hit $57.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.96 to trade at $1303.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1845, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 92.80.
