Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Luxottica Group (MILAN:LUX), which rose 4.35% or 2.55 points to trade at 61.20 at the close. Yoox (MILAN:YOOX) added 3.51% or 0.96 points to end at 28.30 and Buzzi Unicem (MILAN:BZU) was up 3.28% or 0.51 points to 16.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pirelli & C (MILAN:PECI), which lost 0.33% or 0.0500 points to trade at 15.0400 in late trade. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MILAN:FCHA) declined 0.31% or 0.0400 points to end at 12.7200 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MILAN:SFER) shed 0.17% or 0.04 points to 23.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 269 to 169 and 8 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.91% or 1.31 to $46.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.95% or 0.93 to hit $48.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.41% or 4.70 to trade at $1133.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.79% to 1.1210, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.7229.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 95.92.
