Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 2.80% or 0.44 points to trade at 16.14 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 2.63% or 0.63 points to end at 24.61 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was up 2.58% or 0.61 points to 24.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED), which lost 6.73% or 0.475 points to trade at 6.585 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 3.14% or 0.078 points to end at 2.404 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) shed 3.08% or 0.53 points to 16.67.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 170 to 163 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.79% or 0.96 to $54.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.42% or 0.80 to hit $56.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1238.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.0547, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.8460.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 101.35.
