Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 6.08% or 0.470 points to trade at 8.195 at the close. Exor (MI:EXOR) added 2.21% or 0.86 points to end at 39.82 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 2.10% or 0.30 points to 14.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Generali (MI:GASI), which lost 3.00% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.30 in late trade. Unipol (MI:UNPI) declined 2.57% or 0.074 points to end at 2.802 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) shed 1.52% or 0.38 points to 24.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 219 to 184 and 26 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.17% or 0.08 to $48.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.84% or 22.25 to trade at $1188.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.0562, while EUR/GBP fell 0.94% to 0.8472.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 101.62.
