Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 8.15% or 0.800 points to trade at 10.620 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 4.20% or 2.10 points to end at 52.10 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 3.23% or 0.1260 points to 4.0260 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 6.110 in late trade. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 0.34% or 0.04 points to end at 11.70 and ENI (MI:ENI) gained 0.38% or 0.05 points to 13.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 253 to 87 and 20 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.56% or 0.76 to $48.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.75% or 0.91 to hit $51.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.05 to trade at $1290.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1787, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.9080.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 93.24.
