Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which rose 3.28% or 1.33 points to trade at 41.73 at the close. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) added 3.00% or 11.50 points to end at 394.40 and A2A SpA (BIT:A2) was up 2.86% or 0.05 points to 1.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 2.11% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.22 in late trade. Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) declined 1.93% or 0.45 points to end at 22.86 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) shed 0.97% or 0.14 points to 14.81.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 322 to 194 and 32 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.56% or 0.44 to $78.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.54% or 0.44 to hit $82.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 24.10 to trade at $2,350.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.00% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.23% at 103.90.
