Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 2.97% or 0.320 points to trade at 11.105 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 2.83% or 0.0222 points to end at 0.8054 and Generali (MI:GASI) was up 2.51% or 0.38 points to 15.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlantia (MI:ATL), which lost 2.33% or 0.62 points to trade at 26.00 in late trade. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 0.87% or 0.12 points to end at 14.27 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) shed 0.44% or 0.021 points to 4.730.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 225 to 126 and 29 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.39% or 0.24 to $61.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.26% or 0.17 to hit $65.06 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.60 to trade at $1317.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.2315, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 90.06.
