Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which rose 3.78% or 0.43 points to trade at 11.66 at the close. FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK) added 3.12% or 0.45 points to end at 14.86 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was up 2.71% or 0.13 points to 4.89 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ERG (BIT:ERG), which lost 1.84% or 0.48 points to trade at 25.62 in late trade. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) declined 1.68% or 0.11 points to end at 6.20 and Poste Italiane SpA (BIT:PST) shed 1.27% or 0.17 points to 12.79.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 261 to 222 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.07% or 1.53 to $75.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.91% or 1.50 to hit $79.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 16.80 to trade at $2,392.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 104.21.
