Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 5.45% or 0.690 points to trade at 13.340 at the close. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) added 1.98% or 0.26 points to end at 13.36 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 1.75% or 0.0680 points to 3.9460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which lost 1.18% or 0.0095 points to trade at 0.7950 in late trade. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 1.09% or 0.30 points to end at 27.32 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) shed 1.03% or 0.0320 points to 3.0860.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 250 to 115 and 6 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.23% or 0.11 to $47.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.77 to trade at $1328.97 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1877, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.9159.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.69.
