Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which rose 4.51% or 1.16 points to trade at 26.89 at the close. Recordati (BIT:RECI) added 2.22% or 1.15 points to end at 53.00 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was up 2.07% or 0.11 points to 5.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ERG (BIT:ERG), which lost 1.52% or 0.36 points to trade at 23.40 in late trade. Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) declined 0.97% or 0.14 points to end at 14.74 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) shed 0.73% or 0.30 points to 41.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 258 to 243 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.31% or 2.46 to $76.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.15% or 2.46 to hit $80.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 3.15 to trade at $2,664.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.23.
