Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which rose 3.33% or 0.39 points to trade at 12.10 at the close. FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) added 3.26% or 0.29 points to end at 9.19 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 2.55% or 0.1000 points to 4.0200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which lost 2.73% or 1.06 points to trade at 37.80 in late trade. Prysmian (MI:PRY) declined 1.66% or 0.43 points to end at 25.40 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) shed 0.80% or 0.18 points to 22.19.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 206 to 156 and 32 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.36% or 0.26 to $72.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.91% or 0.72 to hit $79.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1292.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1786, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.46.
