Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which rose 4.87% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.37 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 4.51% or 0.39 points to end at 9.14 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) was up 3.04% or 0.39 points to 13.21 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which lost 4.48% or 0.93 points to trade at 19.85 in late trade. Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) declined 1.52% or 0.08 points to end at 4.92 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) shed 0.79% or 0.06 points to 7.54.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 339 to 138 and 45 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.70% or 1.17 to $70.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 1.02 to hit $73.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.75% or 19.45 to trade at $2,589.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 100.60.
