Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 4.35% or 0.57 points to trade at 13.81 at the close. Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) added 4.22% or 3.45 points to end at 85.25 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) was up 2.72% or 0.24 points to 9.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which lost 2.16% or 1.42 points to trade at 64.46 in late trade. FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK) declined 0.83% or 0.13 points to end at 14.98 and Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) shed 0.64% or 0.04 points to 5.41.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 275 to 225 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.45% or 1.02 to $71.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.46% or 1.07 to hit $74.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 21.40 to trade at $2,673.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.27.
