Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Recordati (MI:RECI), which rose 6.81% or 2.05 points to trade at 32.16 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 3.28% or 0.55 points to end at 17.16 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 2.45% or 0.93 points to 38.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which lost 2.70% or 0.1150 points to trade at 4.1410 in late trade. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) declined 1.86% or 0.3160 points to end at 16.6820 and Mediaset (MI:MS) shed 1.27% or 0.040 points to 3.099.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 189 to 183 and 28 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.24% or 0.17 to $71.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.85% or 0.67 to hit $79.95 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1290.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1808, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8730.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.30.
