Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 2.72% or 0.57 points to trade at 21.53 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) added 2.56% or 0.01 points to end at 0.25 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 1.90% or 0.04 points to 2.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG), which lost 1.69% or 0.70 points to trade at 40.72 in late trade. Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) declined 1.45% or 0.09 points to end at 5.78 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) shed 0.94% or 0.50 points to 52.78.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 269 to 233 and 64 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.17% or 0.12 to $70.46 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $74.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.70 to trade at $2,684.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 103.29.
