Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 4.64% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.12 at the close. Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) added 1.57% or 1.45 points to end at 93.80 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) was up 1.45% or 0.18 points to 12.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI), which lost 2.03% or 0.13 points to trade at 6.08 in late trade. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) declined 1.98% or 0.12 points to end at 5.93 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) shed 1.77% or 0.09 points to 4.99.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 251 to 238 and 46 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.02% or 0.72 to $70.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.91% or 0.68 to hit $74.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 13.10 to trade at $2,742.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.06.
