Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 2.26% or 390.0 points to trade at 17670.0 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) added 2.03% or 350 points to end at 17630 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 0.99% or 170 points to 17420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 3.22% or 105 points to trade at 3155 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 3.00% or 7.4 points to end at 239.0 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) shed 2.28% or 30 points to 1287.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 235 to 151 and 55 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.29% or 0.70 to $53.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.39% or 0.79 to hit $55.87 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1234.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7054, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 3.9077.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 101.40.
