Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 1.85% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 0.76% or 150 points to trade at 20000 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 0.17% or 30 points to end at 17900 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was down 0.53% or 26 points to 4925 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 3.31% or 24.0 points to trade at 700.0 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 3.06% or 1060 points to end at 33600 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 2.93% or 1780 points to 59000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 274 to 89 and 81 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $50.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $51.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.15 to trade at $1258.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.25% to 3.8065, while EUR/ILS fell 0.02% to 4.1997.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 97.70.
