Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 0.85% or 600 points to trade at 70900 at the close. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) added 0.21% or 10 points to end at 4860 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 0.07% or 10 points to 14170 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.41% or 16.0 points to trade at 649.0 in late trade. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) declined 2.38% or 720 points to end at 29480 and Discount (TA:DSCT) shed 2.37% or 16.9 points to 696.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 216 to 120 and 118 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.71% or 0.43 to $59.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.95% or 0.61 to hit $64.03 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.20 to trade at $1181.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.28% to 3.8331, while EUR/ILS fell 0.41% to 4.3137.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.33.
