Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 1.75% or 660 points to trade at 38350 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 1.23% or 3.0 points to end at 247.0 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 1.05% or 14 points to 1350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.73% or 20.6 points to trade at 734.4 in late trade. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 2.35% or 147 points to end at 6115 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.89% or 72 points to 3728.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 190 to 135 and 119 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.19% or 0.60 to $50.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.36% or 0.70 to hit $52.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.36% or 16.90 to trade at $1263.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.8280, while EUR/ILS rose 0.04% to 4.3620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 93.52.
