Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Banking and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 1.52% or 1.1 points to trade at 73.6 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 1.40% or 19 points to end at 1376 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.20% or 3.1 points to 261.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which lost 2.74% or 1740 points to trade at 61660 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.07% or 76 points to end at 3593 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) shed 1.41% or 260 points to 18220.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 195 to 157 and 94 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.81% or 1.35 to $46.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.04% or 1.02 to hit $48.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.19% or 16.05 to trade at $1330.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.23% to 3.7661, while EUR/ILS fell 0.70% to 4.2370.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.83.
