Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TA:FATTAL), which rose 1.89% or 790 points to trade at 42500 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.31% or 260 points to end at 20120 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 0.20% or 130 points to 64800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 4.80% or 300 points to trade at 5950 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 4.30% or 760 points to end at 16900 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 4.04% or 39 points to 918.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 308 to 95 and 12 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.82% or 0.46 to $56.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.44% or 0.29 to hit $66.28 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1285.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.45% to 3.6231, while EUR/ILS fell 0.26% to 4.0667.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 97.340.
